Emergency supplies to have in your car in case of a winter storm:

  • Cell phone with portable charger
  • Warm clothes (hats, mittens, gloves, coats, blankets)
  • Windshield scarper and shovel
  • Battery powered or hand crank radio and flashlight with extra batteries
  • Water and snacks
  • A first aid kit with any necessary medications
  • Pocket knife or multitool
  • Tow chains, rope, tire chains
  • Air for tire repairs (compressed air can)
  • Cat litter or sand (for tire traction)
