We spend a lot of time in our cars, and we generally think they’re safe. But it’s good to have a supply of emergency items in your car in case of breakdown or if you are stranded. Here’s a list of items that you should keep in the car, along with where they should be stored.

  • First Aid Kit inside cabin, and easily within reach of the driver

  • Water

  • Food

  • Blankets - multiple, wool and “outdoor” blankets

  • Seat belt cutter - on keychain

  • Fire extinguisher - in cabin

  • Phone Charger - in glove compartment

  • Duct Tape - trunk

  • Window breaker tool
